NCBB and First Responders Join Forces for Battle of the Badges

Nebraska Community Blood Bank’s (ncbb.org) Battle of the Badges is an annual friendly competition between teams of first responders to raise awareness of the importance of donating blood. The event challenges first responders to bring together the community, friends, and family members in a series of summer blood drives through August 31.

Battle of the Badges blood drives will support the Lincoln Police Department and Lincoln Fire & Rescue. The winning department will receive the Battle of the Badges traveling trophy and bragging rights, while members of the losing department will be on picnic shelter clean-up duty with Lincoln Parks and Recreation! Regardless of your allegiance, the real winner will be the many lives sustained through the generosity of our blood donors and volunteers.
