The Nebraska Sports Council (NebraskaSportsCouncil.com) is investing in the future of healthy, active lifestyles in Nebraska through the Nebraska Sports Council Endowment, a long-term initiative designed to provide sustainable support for the organization’s mission.
Established in 2023, the Nebraska Sports Council Endowment has a $1 million fundraising goal and has already received $224,000 in pledges. The endowment is intended to create a lasting financial resource that will help ensure Nebraska Sports Council programs remain accessible and continue serving Nebraskans for generations to come.
For more than 40 years, the Nebraska Sports Council has promoted healthy and active lifestyles through events and programs that bring people together through sports and recreation. Today, its programs serve more than 30,000 Nebraskans each year through opportunities for competition, fitness and community connection.
“An endowment allows us to think beyond the next event or next year,” said Dave Mlnarik, President of the Nebraska Sports Council. “It gives us an opportunity to build a stronger financial foundation so we can continue providing opportunities for Nebraskans to be active and engaged well into the future.”
