Nebraska Statewide Arboretum Presents “Gardens Transformed” Educational Event
Nebraska Statewide Arboretum (plantnebraska.org) is set to host the next lecture in the Young Lecture series on November 10. It will be held at Hardin Hall on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln East Campus, 3310 Holdrege St. The topic is “Gardens Transformed.” It will be presented by landscape architect Sandra Youssef Clinton. Guests will learn how to transform their own landscapes for amazing seasonal beauty.
A grassroots, member-based nonprofit organization, Nebraska Statewide Arboretum believes that landscapes have a dramatic impact on quality of life. They renew the environment, help form neighborly connections, create more vibrant business districts and improve the social, physical and psychological health of people of all ages—from toddlers to seniors. The organization works toward purposeful beauty in private and public landscapes through publications, workshops, regional plant recommendations and other outreach efforts.
Nebraska Statewide Arboretum uses its 40 years of experience with landscape efforts, science-based reasoning and a good dose of inspiration to encourage environmental efforts both large and small. It is also the organization’s belief that people can have a positive impact on their surroundings and that thoughtful stewardship inspires and motivates change and hope. Nebraska Statewide Arboretum challenges and enables people to make a difference—in their homes and in their communities.
