Nebraskans Show Their Love on The Longest Day

The Longest Day is all about love. Love for all of those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. On June 21st, the summer solstice, Nebraskans are teaming up with the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org/tld) as part of a global movement to show their love, and to raise funds and awareness for care and support while advancing research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.

During the month of June, people across the state will celebrate The Longest Day by selecting an activity they love, or an activity loved by those affected. From swimming, to playing bridge all day, to horseback riding or golfing, you’re limited only by your imagination! You can live anywhere and participate; join with friends and family across the country — or even the world — and form a team that is active from multiple locations.

To register for The Longest Day, visit alz.org/tld. There is a $20 “activation donation” to jumpstart your fundraising. You can start or join a team, host an event, or register as an individual. To advance research and provide care and support, each participant is asked to raise funds for the efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Do what you love, because you love what you do, and for those who can no longer do what they love.
