The Nebraska Communities Playhouse (neplayhouse.com) is proud to present Next to Normal, the deeply moving and powerful Tony Award-winning musical, from April 25-27 and May 2-4. With a Pulitzer Prize for Drama to its name, Next to Normal tackles the complex and often painful realities of mental illness and its impact on a suburban family, shedding light on themes of loss, grief and resilience.

Next to Normal, written by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, has captivated audiences worldwide with its raw, emotionally charged storytelling and stunning rock-infused score. The musical follows the Goodman family as they navigate the heartbreaking challenges of living with a mother suffering from bipolar disorder and the effects this has on each family member’s mental health, relationships and future.
