Northeast Sertomans Clean Up Highway 34

For 25 years, right-of-way along a three-mile stretch of Highway 34 east of Eagle has been cleaned twice a year by members of the Lincoln Northeast Sertoma Club.  Wearing highly-visible vests, eight members filled large trash bags on both sides of the road this fall.  Club president Jim Becker said the members look forward to this and other community service activities the club has carried out during much of its 46 year history.

2016 is LINCOLN NORTHEAST SERTOMA CLUB’s 46th year of improving the quality of life for those impacted by hearing loss and supporting worthy human need causes.  Members work event concessions to raise and donate $247,000 since 2000.

The Club meets weekly from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. Thursdays at the HyVee community room, 5010 “O” Street.  Program speakers are public/private sector leaders making a difference in our community. Guests are welcome. For more information, contact club president Jim Becker, jbecker@jccompany.net or via Lincoln Northeast Sertoma Club’s Facebook page.
