People’s City Mission (pcmlincoln.org) will host its annual Santa’s Workshop Christmas Toy Giveaway on Saturday, Dec. 11, providing children in need the opportunity to receive free Christmas gifts. The event is expected to help over 5,000 people, including shelter guests and low-income families who shop at the Help Center.
Families attending the event will be able to pick out gifts for their children, with Santa making a special appearance. Free gift wrapping will be available for all presents.
All toys are donated by individuals, businesses and organizations throughout the Lincoln area. Families in need can contact the Help Center at (402) 475-6888 for more information or to participate in the event.
Those wishing to support the giveaway by donating new toys or gifts can drop items at the Help Center, 6800 P St., or the PCM Shelter, 110 Q St. Donations of wrapping paper, tape, boxes, gift bags and bows are also accepted. The deadline for donations is Monday, Dec. 8.
