People’s City Mission (pcmlincoln.org) is getting a head start on holiday cheer with their annual Toy Drive. On December 12 and 13, families will be able to shop for free for presents and toys. The Santa’s Workshop event will take place on December 15, giving families another opportunity to search for presents free of cost. All of the toys are donated by individuals, businesses, and organizations from around the Lincoln area, and gift wrapping will also be provided.
Anyone who would like to donate a new toy for the annual Toy Drive can drop them off at the Mission at 110 Q St. or at the Help Center at 6800 P St. All donations need to be received by December 9 to be included in the giveaways.
People’s City Mission was started in 1907 by local churches, offering food and shelter for transient and impoverished men, women, and children. Today, the People’s City Mission is Lincoln’s primary homeless shelter housing 350 people on an average day. They greatly appreciate your continued support of Lincoln’s most vulnerable.
