Radio Talking Book Service Seeking Volunteers
Radio Talking Book Service (rtbs.org) needs your voice! RTBS serves the state of Nebraska with a mission to provide human-voiced print information to individuals who have visual or physical disabilities which prevent them from reading printed material. Volunteers bring the printed word to life for over 3,000 blind or visually impaired Nebraskans, and they would love to hear your voice on the radio too.
Volunteer opportunities include reading live or recording programming for the Radio Talking Book Network, reading and recording text books and course material for the Listening Link program, as well as administrative and community engagement volunteer positions.
“Radio Talking Book volunteers enjoy giving our listeners a world of information,” says Volunteer Coordinator, Sybil Mahan. “RTBS programming gives the listener the opportunity to be well informed and to look forward to what is happening every day.”
Please contact Sybil at (402) 572-3003 or smahan@rtbs.org. Visit rtbs.org to learn more, to listen to RTBN, and to sign up to volunteer today.
