In 2015, Raising Cane’s was a part of several different Relay for Life events that were held in and around the Lincoln community to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. In total, nearly $2,000 in cash donations and almost $6,000 in food and raffle prizes were donated to help support the different events.
In 2015, Raising Cane’s played a part in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Nebraska Wesleyan University and Doane College’s Relay for Life events by helping them raise money through in-store fundraisers and food donations on the day of their events. In addition, Raising Cane’s donated hot and fresh chicken fingers for a good-will donation at the Haymarket Park Relay for Life event that raised over $190,000 this year.
Since the first Lincoln location opened in 2006, Raising Cane’s has set out to not just be another restaurant in the community, but to be the community’s restaurant with programs such as this one. Raising Cane’s has one love—chicken fingers—and focuses its menu offering on fresh, made-to-order chicken fingers paired with their homemade Cane’s sauce, grilled Texas toast, creamy coleslaw and crinkle-cut fries.
