Raising Coats With Raising Cane’s a Success Again in 2015
With the help of the Lincoln community, Raising Cane’s donated over 2,600 new and gently used coats to the People’s City Mission during their 9th annual Raising Coats with Raising Cane’s coat drive. Throughout the month of October, when a new or gently used coat was donated, the donor received a free meal with purchase offer. Through these efforts, Raising Cane’s gave over $8,750 in food to support the cause.
Since 2007, supporters have helped donate nearly 13,400 coats to the People’s City Mission. “When you walk into a room where over 2,600 coats are spread out onto tables it really hits you. The giving and thoughtfulness of the Lincoln community is insurmountable,” said Jennifer Jones, owner of the Lincoln Raising Cane’s franchise. “Thank you to everyone who dropped off a coat throughout the month of October—none of this would have been possible without y’all.”
Since the first Lincoln location opened in 2006, Raising Cane’s has set out to not just be another restaurant in the community, but to be the community’s restaurant with programs such as this one. Raising Cane’s has one love—chicken fingers—and focuses its menu offering on fresh, made-to-order chicken fingers paired with their homemade Cane’s sauce, grilled Texas toast, creamy coleslaw and crinkle-cut fries.
