Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is kicking off their 9th annual coat drive – Raising Coats With Raising Cane’s. Winter coats are being collected at all four Lincoln restaurants from October 1 – November 1 and will be donated to those in need at the People’s City Mission. In appreciation, those who donate will receive a free meal when purchasing another combo + drink.
Since its creation in 2007, supporters have helped donate over 10,750 new and gently used coats to the People’s City Mission. “Having the ability to purchase a winter coat is something many of us take for granted. The reality is, there are thousands of people in our community who aren’t as fortunate,” said Jennifer Jones, owner of the Lincoln Raising Cane’s franchise. “This year our goal is to raise over 2,000 coats. It’s an ambitious goal, but with the help of the Lincoln community, we know it’s possible.”
Since the first Lincoln location opened in 2006, Raising Cane’s has set out to not just be another restaurant in the community, but to be the community’s restaurant with programs such as this one. Raising Cane’s has one love—chicken fingers—and focuses its menu offering on fresh, made-to-order chicken fingers paired with their homemade Cane’s sauce, grilled Texas toast, creamy coleslaw and crinkle-cut fries.
