Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is working to raise coats for the People’s City Mission with their 7th Annual “Raising Coats with Raising Cane’s” Coat Drive. Since 2007, local owners Justin & Jennifer Jones have been able to raise over 7,200 new and gently used coats that have been donated to the People’s City Mission. With the help of the Lincoln community, they are hoping to raise another 2,000 coats to give back to those in need this winter. Residents are asked to bring any new or gently used coats to the Lincoln Raising Cane’s locations at 48th & R Street or 14th & P Street in downtown Lincoln between October 1st and November 3rd. When coats are donated, supporters will receive a free meal with the purchase of another combo and drink offer. Coats raised during the coat drive will be distributed to the People’s City Mission shelter residents and will also be available to others in need throughout the community at the People’s City Mission Homeless Prevention Center on a future determined date.
Raising Cane’s has one love — chicken fingers — and focuses its menu offering on fresh, made-to-order chicken fingers paired with their homemade Cane’s sauce, grilled Texas Toast brushed with garlic butter, creamy Cole slaw and crinkle-cut French fries.
