Registration is now open for several signature Nebraska Sports Council (NebraskaSportsCouncil.com) events, offering opportunities for athletes, families, and communities across the state to get active in 2026.
Participants can now register for the Cornhusker State Games, Nebraska DiamondFest, the Pumpkin Run, and 402 Bash, a new men’s slow-pitch softball tournament being held at the Sandhills Global Youth Complex in Lincoln. Each event provides a variety of competition and participation options designed for all ages and ability levels.
Athletes planning to compete in the Cornhusker State Games or Nebraska DiamondFest are encouraged to register early, as price increases for both events will take effect on Feb. 18. Early registration guarantees the lowest available entry fees and helps organizers plan for another successful year of competition. Registration also remains open for the Lincoln Corporate Games, Omaha Corporate Games, and Nebraska Showdown, which encourage teamwork, wellness, and friendly competition among companies and organizations throughout their respective communities.
In addition, the Nebraska Sports Council continues to offer the WellPower Movement, a free statewide program that is part of the America 250 initiative. Participants are challenged to log 250 miles by July 4, celebrating movement, health, and the nation’s upcoming semi-quincentennial. Individuals can track miles through walking, running, biking, swimming, or other activities at their own pace.
