Pius X High School’s student body, faculty and staff soon will be safer and more secure, thanks to a generous grant from the Lincoln-based May Flanagan Foundation. The organization has awarded a $10,000 grant to fund security equipment and upgrades, enabling school administrators to enhance their ability to both prevent and respond to potential security breaches, severe weather events, or other incidents that may jeopardize the safety of students, personnel, and visitors.
Funding from the grant will be used to purchase ten professional grade walkie-talkies for administrators and staff to carry throughout the day; four additional indoor security cameras, and upgraded software for the school’s visual console intercom system.
As the central Catholic high school in Lincoln, Pius X’s mission is to enrich the mind, heart and soul of each student through a Christ-centered, Catholic environment that provides academic excellence and preparation to achieve a meaningful, faith-filled life.
