Speakers and Sessions Announced for Nonprofit Summit of the Midlands

More than 300 national and regional thought leaders, staff, and volunteers from the nonprofit world will come together for the 2019 Nonprofit Summit of the Midlands (www.nonprofitam.org/Summit2019), which will be hosted by the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) and D.A. Davidson on Thursday, November 7 at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in La Vista.

The keynote speakers for the 13th annual summit are Frances Kunreuther and Sean Thomas-Breitfeld, co-directors of the Building Movement Project, which assists nonprofits in building grassroots support for progressive social change. Building bridges that lead to policies and approaches that support equity, fairness and sustainability, the Building Movement Project helps nonprofits meet the needs of communities they serve.

The 2019 Nonprofit Summit of the Midlands also will feature breakout sessions, a Catalyst Award and workshops on a variety of topics that will benefit nonprofit leaders of any experience level, including fundraising, lobbying, community building, team development and strategic planning. NAM’s Catalyst Award will recognize a leader or organization that has made an impact in the nonprofit community. The recipient will be announced during the summit luncheon.

Nonprofit Association of the Midlands strengthens the collective voice, leadership, and capacity of nonprofits to enrich the quality of community life throughout Nebraska and Western Iowa. With NAM’s growing base of nonprofits, the organization is committed to: enhancing public recognition of the importance and role of the nonprofit sector; providing access to high-quality assistance and information on effective nonprofit management and practices; advocating on issues that affect the capacity of all nonprofits to address their communities’ needs; and fostering communication and cooperation among nonprofits.
