CHI Health St. Elizabeth
recently announced that its Pharmacy Residency Program received a three-year accreditation from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the accrediting body for pharmacy residencies in the United States.
The residency program, which began three years ago, is the only inpatient hospital-based teaching program in Lincoln that gives residents the opportunity to develop practice skills, such as managing medication-use systems and medication therapy for patients with a broad range of diseases.
The program qualifies residents to be eligible for Board Certification in a Pharmacotherapy Specialty and gives the resident pharmacists experience working on a patient-care team with other healthcare providers.
