Strictly Business will host a Shop the Racks event at Rose Cat Coffee Co. (5600 S 48th St) on Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1p.m., bringing the community together for charitable shopping to support Disrupting Traffick, a Nebraska nonprofit dedicated to ending sexual exploitation and trafficking.
Attendees can enjoy conversing over good coffee and drinks with friends while browsing high-end, name-brand clothing and accessories priced between $3 and $20. Shoppers will be able to refresh their wardrobes while contributing to a local cause. If you are cleaning out your wardrobe and want your clothing to go to a good cause, bring those items to be repurchased and loved by another person. Adding to the sale is another way to support this nonprofit. If you’d like to contribute clothing, contact Paige Zutavern at (402) 730-0096.
All proceeds from the sale will go directly to Disrupting Traffick. You can purchase clothing with cash or by venmoing Disrupting Traffick on site.
Disrupting Traffick is a Nebraska nonprofit with the goal of ending the cycle of sexual exploitation and trafficking. They focus on preventative support, crisis stabilization and recovery. The team at Disrupting Traffick creates safe physical and emotional spaces for women who have been exploited; they also offer immediate, tangible support to women and children with clothing items, food pantry donations, gas and bus cards and grocery vouchers.
