TeamMates All-Star Nominations Open Until January 8, National Mentoring Month
TeamMates Mentoring (LincolnTeamMates.org) is now accepting nominations for the following awards: Mentor of the Year, TeamMates Local Program of the Year, and Corporate Partner of the Year. Nominations will close on January 8. As this month is National Mentoring Month, TeamMates wants to recognize the amazing mentors, communities, and corporations that have embraced the culture of mentoring throughout Nebraska. Send in your nominations by filling out an easy form on the TeamMates central office website teammates.org.
TeamMates provides support through your mentoring journey. From helpful toolkits and in-school coordinators to scholarships for mentees, they do all they can to make you and your mentee feel comfortable during your mentoring relationship. Mentoring can create a ripple effect through the generations. Since 1991, TeamMates has seen almost 100 mentees pay their experience forward by becoming mentors. Mentors and mentees meet once a week and focus on building a long-term relationship that ideally lasts until the mentee graduates from high school.
