TeamMates Receives Food Donations from Local Businesses for Mentor Academies

Mentor Academies are monthly opportunities for TeamMates (teammates.org) mentors to grow their toolbox of mentoring skills. Each month, mentors come to listen and learn from experts who share information relevant to mentoring children and youth. As a way of supporting this program, local businesses have donated food to these events.

TeamMates would like to thank the following business partners who have donated food for last year’s Mentor Academies: Chick-fil-A, Outback Steakhouse, Goodscents Deli Fresh Subs, Rabbit Hole Bakery, The Parthenon, and Trader Joe’s.

TeamMates mentors appreciate the opportunity to learn while enjoying tasty cuisine. They appreciate these businesses for joining their mission to positively impact the community through mentoring.

TeamMates is a strengths-based mentoring program, equipping mentors to help students discover their individual strengths and talents and identifying opportunities for them to build on the ways that they are uniquely awesome. Data collected through the Gallup Strengths project has demonstrated that this strengths-based approach produces a positive impact on students’ levels of hope, engagement in school, and well-being. As a result, TeamMates mentees look forward to meeting with their mentor each week and have the support and encouragement they need to reach their full potential.

If your business would like to partner with TeamMates to sponsor an event or Mentor Academy, please contact their office at (402) 436-1990. Learn more about the organization online at teammates.org.
