The Arc of Lincoln (thearc.org) was initially organized in 1952 and incorporated in 1967 by a group of parents committed to promoting and protecting the rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc of Lincoln’s longstanding mission has been to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to promote and protect their rights and interests, while enriching the quality of their lives.

With the support of The Arc of Lincoln, family members of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities no longer have to feel alone and gain access to valuable resources and a supportive network that provides encouragement and assistance during crises. Families are reassured that their loved ones are given every opportunity to succeed, with service providers monitored and held accountable. This peace of mind helps families adopt a more positive outlook, stay focused and reduce absenteeism at work.

The Arc of Lincoln helps educate employers, friends, neighbors and the community, fostering greater awareness and understanding of intellectual and developmental disabilities, so it is excited to host the following events during the month of March:
