The Arc of Lincoln(advocacypartnership.org) is beginning 2026 with a renewed commitment to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and supporting their families through advocacy, inclusive programming, and community engagement.

Entering the new year, The Arc of Lincoln is offering a calendar of programs designed to promote inclusion, independence, and connection across all ages. Planned activities for 2026 include inclusive recreation and social groups, self-advocacy opportunities, family and sibling support programs, educational events, and The Arc Expeditions—fully supported travel experiences that foster independence and life-long memories.

As part of the new year, The Arc of Lincoln is also launching its annual membership renewal and recruitment campaign, encouraging individuals, families, businesses, and community partners to become members and invest in the future of inclusive opportunities in Lincoln.

“Membership support is essential to everything we do,” said Jennifer Stuhmer, Executive Director of The Arc of Lincoln. “It allows us to expand programs, keep activities affordable, and advocate for individuals with disabilities and their families. When the community  stands with The Arc of Lincoln, individuals with IDD are better supported, better connected, and better empowered.”

Membership contributions directly support program development,  accessibility, advocacy efforts, and outreach across Lincoln and surrounding communities. Members also help amplify the voices of individuals with disabilities and strengthen inclusive practices throughout the community.

The Arc of Lincoln invites current members to renew and welcomes new members to join in supporting a strong, inclusive 2026. For membership information, program details, and ways to get involved, please visit advocacypartnership.org.
