Join Branched Oak Observatory for an evening of hot competition and cool stargazing! Chili enthusiasts and night-sky dreamers are invited to bring their best Traditional (no beans) or Homestyle (with beans) chili for the competition. Not a chef? Come hungry, taste a variety of chilies, and vote as a People’s Choice judge. White/blond/chicken chilies (and side dishes) are welcome, but only red chilies will be judged officially. Trophies and ultimate bragging rights await the top three winners. After voting, enjoy a cosmic journey with observatory volunteers, exploring the night sky through telescopes (weather permitting). Dress warm, it’s chilly!
