The Sowers Club of Lincoln recently donated $10,000 to the BraveBe Child Advocacy Center for their comfort dog, Eevee.

Eevee plays a vital role in BraveBe’s mission to support children going through crisis or dealing with trauma or abuse.

Whether she is sitting quietly during an interview, offering a moment of calm play during a stressful day or simply being a positive and calm presence for children, Eevee helps reduce anxiety, stress and helps children and adults feel safe and comforted during hard times.

BraveBe places children and their families into a safe, child focused environment to prevent further abuse and reduce fear. With advocacy support, partnerships with law enforcement, Health and Human Services and mental health providers, the coordinated approach helps reduce the number of times a child has to share their story, support investigations when necessary and prioritizes your child’s emotional and physical safety.

The Sowers Club shows their commitment of sowing goodwill through charity to support the Lincoln community and our children by being a financial pillar and helping hand in these organizations. And because of organizations like The Sowers Club of Lincoln, BraveBe can continue their crucial work for the community.
