Vision Maker Media Presents Online Film Program for 45th Anniversary

Vision Maker Media (visionmakermedia.org) presents “Returning Home Through Togetherness”, a commUNITY themed online film program celebrating Native American and Alaska Native Heritage Month and honoring Native American veterans for Veterans Day. As a part of Vision Maker Media’s 45th Anniversary, this event will include a virtual panel of Native American veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The panelists will bring perspective to the audience about Native American warrior societies in the United States. “commUNITY: Returning Home Through Togetherness” is free and open to the public for online streaming 24/7 at visionmakermedia.org presents “Returning Home Through Togetherness”, a commUNITY themed online film program from November 10 to 24.

Vision Maker Media is a nonprofit established in 1976 with support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and Nebraska Public Media. Their mission is to empower and engage Native people to share their stories, and they have been the premiere source of public media by and about Native Americans for 45 years. They work with VMM funded producers to develop, produce, and distribute programs for all public media and create partnerships with Tribal nations, Indian organizations, and Native communities in order to increase the number of American Indians and Alaska Natives producing public broadcasting programs.
