This holiday season, Voices of Hope (voicesofhopelincoln.org) is inviting caring volunteers to make a difference by adopting a family. The Adopt a Family program gives individuals, groups, and organizations the opportunity to bring joy, warmth, and support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
During the holidays, many families served by Voices of Hope face challenges that can make the season difficult. By adopting a family, community members can help make the holidays brighter and more meaningful for those who have experienced trauma.
Participants can provide gifts, household items, or other essentials that help families feel cared for and supported during a time that can often be stressful and isolating. The program not only helps meet immediate needs, but also reminds survivors that their community cares and that hope and healing are possible. Every act of kindness, no matter the size, helps strengthen the network of support for those who need it most.
