Friendship Home (friendshiphome.org) values its volunteers and relys on them to stay afloat. With that in mind, Friendship Home wants each of its volunteers to be involved in ways they feel most comfortable and in roles that showcase their talents and strengths. Here are a few volunteer opportunities offered by Friendship Home this year.
Donate or Volunteer for Stuff the Bus: On Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13, volunteers will be at Walmart and Sam’s Club stores stuffing the bus and passing out needs lists! Sign up for a volunteer shift or stop by and shop for Friendship Home! Summer Yard Work: Summer brings an endless amount of fun and an endless amount of yard work. Grab a team and spend a few hours at Friendship Home’s shelter mowing the lawn, pulling weeds and making the backyard look spectacular. Organize a Needs Drive: Friendship Home’s shelves are constantly cycling through supplies. Community members who volunteer by hosting a needs drive and delivering the items to Friendship Home helps keep its shelves stocked throughout the year.
