Willard Community Center (willardcommunitycenter.org) is pleased to announce the expansion of its aging adult program, designed to better serve older adults in the Lincoln community through enhanced programming, dedicated space and strategic partnerships.
This expansion is made possible through generous funding from the Immanuel Vision Foundation and the Community Health Endowment, whose support reflects a shared commitment to improving the health and well-being of older adults in our community.
The initiative will begin with the hiring of a program coordinator, who will lead the development and implementation of engaging opportunities for older adults to stay connected, active and healthy. In addition, Willard is redesigning a designated area within the center to serve as a welcoming, functional space exclusively for aging adult programming.
As part of the center’s commitment to health and wellness, Willard has partnered with the YMCA of Lincoln to offer the Fit for Life: Strength & Stretch program, a class tailored to the needs of adults focused on improving strength, balance and mobility.
Willard Community Center invites the public to visit willardcommunitycenter.org for updates on the program and to learn more about new classes and activities launching this fall.
