In collaboration with the Downtown Lincoln Association, the YMCA of Lincoln (YMCALincoln.org) is hosting the seventh Annual Railyard Rims August 4-5. This three-on-three tournament takes basketball to the streets of the Railyard, and players will be hooping for much more than a trophy.

Tournament proceeds benefit the YMCA’s Annual Fundraising Campaign – Strong Kids, which powers critical programs and activities that keep kids safe, people healthy and families strong. In 2022 alone, the Lincoln YMCA provided over $650,000 in financial assistance to nearly 900 families so they could experience programs ranging from basketball and soccer to swim lessons and summer day camp.

The tournament and fundraiser will host companies for the Company Cup on Friday night, August 4, with youth and competitive divisions on Saturday, August 5. All teams are guaranteed four games with players receiving an official Railyard Rims t-shirt.

“The opportunity to host this event not only activates downtown, but it raises awareness for the Y so they can continue introducing kids to the game of basketball and other valuable youth programs,” shared Todd Ogden, president of the Downtown Lincoln Association.

Team registration is now open at RailyardRims.com.

One of Lincoln’s largest nonprofit organizations focusing on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the YMCA of Lincoln has served the community for over 150 years—promoting positive values through programs that build spirit, mind and body for all.
