In 2021, Youth for Christ Lincoln Area (yfclincoln.org) launched a capital campaign to raise up to $2.5 million to build a new facility, and they are thrilled to announce that they have so far reached $1.95 million. With this, Youth for Christ hopes to break ground on the new facility at their 10-acre Pine Lake campus this fall.
Included in this new 12,000-square-foot facility is a large gathering room with seating for 300 for Campus Life Clubs and educational presentations, space for childcare and family-style dinners for Parent Life programs, two classrooms, a small kitchenette, a large outdoor patio space, and an on-site parking lot. In addition, the new Youth for Christ center will also allow the organization to host their own events without the fear of not having enough room to accommodate large groups, such as their annual Colorado peach sale and Comedy Night fundraiser. Even more, a larger facility will be ideal when hosting large groups during the winter months by giving them more indoor space to spread out and feel comfortable. When the facility is not in use by Youth for Christ, it will generate revenue as a much-needed, affordable event space for banquets, wedding receptions, or other social gatherings, such as smaller congregations coming together to meet and worship.
