“At Ervin & Smith, we believe in the power of standing together for meaningful causes. Supporting Go Red for Women is not just an opportunity; it’s a responsibility we embrace wholeheartedly. As we step into our role as 2024 event chairs, we’re committed to making a difference in the fight against cardiovascular disease,” said Prewitt.
Go Red for Women is a global initiative of the American Heart Association to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women locally, nationally and globally. Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer for women in the United States, claiming more lives than all forms of cancer combined. Nearly 45% of women over age 20 are living with some form of cardiovascular disease.
“Both personally and professionally, this is very important to us. We chose to chair Go Red for Women because of its profound ability to impact a broad group of women. We also look forward to emphasizing the overall health of women, including physical, psychological, emotional and social well-being,” said Wozny.
Go Red for Women and its local community impact will be celebrated at Go Red for Women on Thursday, October 17. For more information about Go Red for Women visit heart.org/Omaha.
