American Heart Association Hires Ella Salem, New Development Director

The American Heart Association (www.heart.org/Lincoln) in Lincoln recently hired Ella Salem as their new development director. She joins them from Sanford Health Profile where she served as the director of partnerships. Salem is highly experienced in corporate wellness, healthcare relations, public health, behavioral health, and community wellness initiatives. Her work leading numerous successful local, regional, and national health initiatives span multiple industries, including nutrition, fitness, and healthy living. Prior to creating community impact through her 10+ year career in health-minded business development, Salem was a founding Peloton cycling instructor and former ballerina in New York City. Salem prides herself in her very personal connection to the American Heart Association, which began when her mother survived a large hemorrhagic stroke at the young age of 59. Salem cares deeply about living the mission of being a relentless force for longer, healthier lives.

Ella lives in Lincoln with her husband Chris and their two children Hudson Christopher (age six) and Prudence Kate (age four). In her down time, she enjoys tennis (Go Knights!), Pilates, gardening, volunteering, cycling, quality family time, and healthy cooking and baking with her two bite-sized sous’ chefs.
