American Heart Association Welcomes Jodi-Renee Giron and Brianna Georgeson
The American Heart Association – Lincoln (www.heart.org/lincoln) is proud to announce two new staff additions, Jodi-Renee Giron and Brianna Georgeson.
Serving as Corporate Wellness and Development Director, Giron will serve as the lead for the Lincoln Heart Walk, Sioux City Go Red for Women and Sioux City Heart Walk. Prior to this role, Giron served a role with the Lincoln Arts Council. Giron is proudly a Denver-native and has worked in community engagement for the last five years.
Georgeson joins us from the Lincoln Journal Star. With the title of Corporate Events Director, she’ll be lending her talents to the Lincoln Heart & Stroke Ball and Kearney Go Red for Women. Born and raised in Lincoln, she has years of nonprofit experience.
The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association is devoted to saving people from two of our nation’s top killers heart disease (No. 1) and stroke (No. 5). Powered by millions of volunteers nationwide, the Association’s goal is to improve the cardiovascular health of Americans by 20% by 2020, while reducing deaths from heart disease and stroke by 20%. Currently, one person dies every 40 seconds from heart disease and stroke. Through events right here in Omaha like the Heart Walk, Go Red for Women Expo and Heart Ball, that startling statistic can change.
