Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands (BBBSM) proudly celebrates CEO Nichole Turgeon’s 20th anniversary with the organization, marking two decades of leadership, growth and dedication to empowering youth across the metro. Turgeon began her journey with BBBSM in 2005 as Development Director and was promoted to CEO in 2011. During her tenure, she has transformed the organization through innovation, strategic growth and a deep commitment to mentorship.

A two-time Big Sister herself, Turgeon has led with vision and heart— guiding BBBSM through major milestones such as the successful combination of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands and Big Brothers Big Sisters Lincoln, as well as the launch of new, innovative programs. Under her leadership, the agency’s annual operating budget has grown from $1.5 million to $4.4 million, expanding its capacity to serve more youth and families than ever before.

Turgeon’s steady guidance has not only strengthened BBBSM’s presence in the community but also positioned the organization as a model of excellence within the national Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) network.
