The American Red Cross (RedCrossBlood.org) is pleased to announce that Dylan Murphy has been promoted to Donor Recruitment Account Manager II, after dedicated service with the organization since May 2023. In this role, Dylan will continue strengthening community blood drives and helping ensure hospitals have the lifesaving blood they need.
His responsibilities include building relationships, recruiting and retaining donors, and supporting local drives with outreach and communications. Recently, during a blood drive, a donor praised Murphy’s dedication to sending direct reminders and sharing day-of-donation advice. The interaction opened the door for Murphy to explain the vital importance of scheduled appointments and the impact no-shows have on meeting patient needs—underscoring how every single donor matters.
Murphy credits his success to the generosity of donors and the collaboration of his fellow account managers and collections staff, who together keep Red Cross operations strong. “This role has given me a deeper sense of purpose,” Murphy shared, “and I’m grateful to play a part in ensuring hospitals have the lifesaving blood they need.”
