Elissa Fuelberth, a barista at Rose Cat Coffee Co. (rosecatcoffee.com), and Brenda Kasaty, the owner of Rose Cat Coffee Co., have been selected to participate in the Lincoln Leadership Flagship Program 2026 cohort.
The Lincoln Leadership Flagship Program is a community leadership experience that gives emerging and established leaders opportunities to improve their insight, relationships, and skills in order to better the community. Participants will engage in learning about key sectors in the community and systems, governance and civic processes, build meaningful relationships among their fellow leaders across sectors and develop confidence in their roles. Following the program year, participants will become a part of an alumni network committed to always bettering their leadership across Lincoln.
Elissa Fuelberth is a barista at Rose Cat Coffee. Elissa is a fierce self-advocate for individuals with I/DD, both in our community and nationwide. She’s channeled her passion and talents into lobbying for Down syndrome medical research policy change on Capitol Hill and speaking at national conferences, all while staying deeply engaged in the Lincoln community through CrossFit, Down To Box, I2 Choir, Special Olympics and more.
Brenda Kasaty is the owner of Rose Cat Coffee. She created Lincoln’s first coffee shop dedicated to providing meaningful employment for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). Her passion for helping people feel seen and belief in the boundless potential of all people brought her to this position.
