Tech Nebraska (technologynebraska.com) has appointed Emily Allen as its new executive director. A Nebraska native and licensed attorney, Allen brings more than a decade of global experience in public policy, branding, strategic partnerships and cross-sector collaboration.

Allen previously served in a leadership role at Honor Technology, the acquiring company of Home Instead, where she led advocacy efforts and expanded the brand’s presence across 13 markets. Her background includes work at the intersection of technology, healthcare and public policy, helping organizations grow their impact through strategic alignment and innovation.

She joins Tech Nebraska at a pivotal time for the state’s tech economy. According to CBRE’s Scoring Tech Talent 2024 report, Omaha ranks seventh among North America’s emerging tech talent markets, with a 15% increase in tech employment since 2020.

Tech Nebraska, launched in 2023 in partnership with the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry, works to accelerate innovation across the state through public policy, workforce development and statewide convening. The organization brings together leaders from business, education and government to advocate for pro-growth initiatives and build a diverse, future-ready workforce.

Allen’s leadership will help guide Tech Nebraska’s mission to position the state as a national leader in innovation while strengthening access to opportunity across urban and rural communities.

She steps into the role ahead of the 2025 Tech Nebraska Summit, which will bring together hundreds of business, technology and policy leaders from across the state this fall. Details on the event will be announced soon.
