Food Bank for the Heartland (foodbankheartland.org) wants to give a warm welcome to their newest team member — Calib Miller! Calib joins them as the new Vice President of Community Impact.

As VP of Community Impact, Calib says he will be able to “connect and build relationships with all allies against hunger including board members, partners, donors, staff, volunteers, vendors and neighbors. This role includes oversight of Distribution and Warehouse, Transportation, Quality Assurance, Network Relations, Public Benefits, Volunteer Center and Food Sourcing departments. “I am so pleased to work with a group of hunger heroes that have a meaningful impact on the lives of others each day. Together we thrive!”

When asked what got Calib started with food banking, he said “I’m drawn to this work because I was a hungry kid, and I want to do what I can to make sure other households do not have to worry about their next meal.”

If Calib could only have one meal the rest of his life, he is choosing the “Skyline 5-way (spaghetti, chili, cheese, beans and onions), a coney dog (cheese, onions and mustard), an iced tea half sweet/half unsweetened (no lemon), and an apple crisp if dessert is an option.”

Food Bank for the Heartland is so excited to welcome Calib!
