In its more than 30 years of service, Fresh Start has helped over 1,900 women. In 1991, Joyce Burgess helped start Fresh Start, an organization that helps women experiencing homelessness. She’s quoted as saying “It began when I opened my doors to a young woman needing help. Then, it just grew from there. I’m so happy to hear how many women have been helped since.”
