After nearly 23 years, Kelly Madcharo, J.D., will retire from Lincoln Medical Education Partnership (lmep.com). She will continue to serve as director of the Adolescent & Family Health Division and as compliance officer for LMEP through September 26, 2025.
Kelly directed several programs during her tenure at LMEP, including Continuing Health Professions Education, the Nebraska Cancer Research Center, Training for Addiction Professionals (TAP), Lincoln Pediatric Hospitalists, School Community Intervention and Prevention (SCIP) and Stepping Stones. In recent years, she also worked on projects in conjunction with the Lincoln Family Medicine Center.
Abbe Edgecombe, M.S., will assume Kelly’s roles as director of the Adolescent & Family Health Division, which encompasses SCIP and Stepping Stones, as well as LMEP compliance officer. Abbe has also been with LMEP for 23 years, first working with the Young Families Program (now known as Stepping Stones) and later with the SCIP program as the School Coordinator for Lincoln and Lancaster County schools.
