Hyatt Place Lincoln Downtown is pleased to welcome new General Manager David Wheaton to their team. Hyatt Place is scheduled to open in early March of 2014, and David will be a major driving force in making sure everything goes according to schedule as well as overseeing all operations after opening.
David grew up in Lincoln and attended Lincoln East High school. An All-State diver, he was awarded an athletic scholarship to the University of Kansas, where he earned his degree in Broadcast Management. It was in Lawrence that he took his first job in a hotel and discovered his passion for the industry. David has worked at a number of award-winning properties over his 29 years in the Hospitality Industry, most recently as the General Manager of the Residence Inn Marriott in Lincoln.
