Karla Frese of Home Care Partners Completes Hospice Volunteer Training

Karla Frese, managing partner of Home Care Partners of Nebraska (HomeCarePartnersOfNebraska.com), recently earned her certificate of completion for hospice volunteer training. Karla is a part of a group that was trained through Tabitha Hospice and HoriSun Hospice. Hospice volunteer teams provide companionship and support to the patient and family.

There are a variety of ways to volunteer. Karla has become involved through song. “I’ve been connected to this service opportunity by joining the Eastridge Hospice Singers,” Karla said. “It is an honor to be a part of the Hospice Singers and the founder, Patty Niemann, has been an inspiration to me and so many others!”

The group will sing for anyone receiving hospice care. They are represented by six different church denominations. The size of singing group attending a bedside visit is determined by the space of the room and singers who are available. The length of a visit is 15–45 minutes and music is planned with the individual in mind. For more information on the group, email epc.hospice.singers@gmail.com.
