FNBO (First National Bank of Omaha) is proud to announce that Tom Klein is the 2025 City Ambassador for Lincoln. He is part of a group of 21 FNBO employees helping to support communities across the bank’s eight-state service area.

“We are so appreciative of the passion our City Ambassadors have for our communities and the great care they take to ensure communities are supported well, especially in our key focus areas of financial literacy, workforce development and affordable housing,” said Christina Kahler, Managing Director, Philanthropy.

Klein will lead the Impact by FNBO strategy in Lincoln by providing direction and visibility for community work internally and externally. He will drive local decisions on philanthropic giving and serve as a leader and key point of contact in the community, while helping to ensure employees are engaged in volunteer service and elevating community needs and successes.

Klein is a strong proponent of community service and donates his time to the Downtown Lincoln Association, NeighborWorks Lincoln, the Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Lincoln Rotary.

In his role as a Senior Advisor in Commercial Banking, Klein specializes in working with clients on commercial services designed to meet their goals.

In 2024, FNBO’s City Ambassadors oversaw $2.8 million in philanthropic support outside of Omaha. They are appointed for one-year terms, though many serve for more than a year.
