Lincoln Community Foundation’s (lcf.org) Board of Directors recently announced the selection of Alec Gorynski as their new president and chief executive officer. The board voted unanimously to approve the search committee’s recommendation in naming Gorynski to the position.
Gorynski brings with him more than 15 years of experience working across private, nonprofit, and government sectors and has led efforts to maximize community impact through philanthropy, planning, and collaboration. He succeeds Barbara Bartle who has served as president for 12 years and retired at the end of December. Before this position, Gorynski held various president and vice president positions at First National Bank of Omaha and Bank of the West, and was deputy grant administrator in the Omaha Mayor’s Office. He also has experience serving on multiple boards and committees for nonprofit organizations in Omaha and Lincoln. Gorynski holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Peru State College.
