Lisa McClung Joins American Cancer Society as Senior Manager of Community Development

The American Cancer Society (cancer.org/treatment) in Lincoln brought on Lisa McClung as senior manager of community development. Lisa will oversee the community development team in the Lincoln and Kearney area in addition to staffing the Lincoln Advisory Board and the Lincoln Hope Gala. Lisa’s fresh ideas and passion for the America Cancer Society’s mission are valuable assets to the organization. As the senior manager of community development, she will be finding new ways to raise awareness about the programs and services the American Cancer Society provides. Lisa will work closely with community partners in order to ensure that the Society will be able to continue offering information, day-to-day help, and emotional support to those who need it, all for free.

Lisa brings over 10 years of marketing experience and more than five years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She has previously worked with the American Heart Association and People’s City Mission. Prior to joining the American Cancer Society, Lisa served as property manager for Hampton Enterprises. Her heart for community service and helping those in need brought her back into the nonprofit world.

The American Cancer Society’s resources are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to help guide cancer patients and their loved ones through the cancer experience. To learn more about their support and treatment services, visit cancer.org/treatment or call 1-(800) 227-2345.
