Nebraska Housing Developers Association Promotes Amber Marker

The Nebraska Housing Developers Association (NHDA, housingdevelopers.org) has promoted Amber Marker as its new executive director. Marker succeeds Courtney Lyons, who recently resigned to pursue other opportunities. Marker has been with NHDA since May of 2006. She has held the position of deputy director for the last eight years.

“Her commitment to the organization, her institutional knowledge, and her abundant talent will be key to the achievement of the future goals of the association,” said Brian Andersen, NHDA board chair.

“I am honored to lead an organization that means so much to me,” shared Marker. “I have such a great passion for the work that I do to help our members and to champion affordable housing in Nebraska. We as an organization have done such great work in the past and I can’t wait to build this organization into the future. I appreciate the board’s confidence and I’m looking forward to the continued work with all of our great member organizations across the state.”

Established in 1996, the Nebraska Housing Developers Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that boasts a membership of over 70 organizations working to strengthen the state’s economic vitality by making safe, affordable housing available to all Nebraskans.
