Pemberly Place’s Jolin Nguyen and Kendra Haight Certified as Dementia Practitioners

Pemberly Place (pemberlyplace.com) is excited to announce that Memory Support Administrative Assistant Jolin Nguyen and Memory Support House Supervisor Kendra Haight have completed training to become Certified Dementia Practitioners. Memory support has always been a big part of Pemberly Place, and this training is part of the community’s mission to educate all direct-care staff about how to provide a successful memory-care environment.

Having Jolin and Kendra obtain their Certified Dementia Practitioner licenses is beneficial to both existing Pemberly Place residents and new residents who join the community. During the certification process, Jolin and Kendra learned about the many types of dementia—and that no two cases are the same. They also learned about various ways to treat residents who have dementia, at all stages of the disease, and even picked up some techniques for improving existing treatments.

Pemberly Place challenges their residents with dementia and other cognitive disorders every day, beginning by working with them and their families to create Individualized Care Plans. Keeping residents engaged with activities throughout the day and providing that one-on-one support is their No. 1 priority. In fact, Pemberly Place is known throughout Lincoln for their creative service planning and attention to each resident’s individual needs. Locally owned, the community offers independent living, assisted living, and memory care options. To learn more, call (402) 413-9770 or visit pemberlyplace.com.
