Rachael Surmick and Amy Jurgens Join United Way
United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County (unitedwaylincoln.org) has hired Rachael Surmick as community impact manager and Amy Jurgens as resource development manager.
A native of Pennsylvania, Surmick has extensive experience in building assets for individuals, housing counseling and community development. She most recently served as chief operating officer at NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania. In her new role, Surmick will be responsible for managing the distribution of funds to United Way agencies, monitoring funded programs, and maintaining relationships between agencies, volunteers and United Way.
Jurgens came to United Way from Doane University, where she served as executive director of advancement. She has more than 20 years of experience in fundraising, management and customer service. In her United Way role, she will focus on cultivating relationships with leading donors and affinity groups, including Women in Philanthropy, Women United and Emerging Leaders United.
