Concordia University, Nebraska welcomes Richard Huebner of Centennial, Colorado, to its board of regents. Huebner is a senior managing partner at GVC Capital in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and has worked in the securities industry for more than 30 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Hastings College and earned his juris doctorate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
As a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Denver, Colorado, Huebner was twice elected president and served on the long-range planning committee and Christian education committee. He and his wife, Susan Huebner, served as co-chairs of a successful capital raise for a Trinity building project. Huebner was instrumental in establishing a scholarship fund at Trinity for the tuition expenses of pastors and Lutheran church and school workers and served as a trustee of the fund for nearly 15 years.
