Tabitha (tabitha.org) announced Jeffrey McGinn, CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) as Vice President of the Tabitha Foundation.

McGinn returns to Nebraska after recently serving as the Executive Director of Advancement, Annual Giving and Membership at the University of Missouri.

As a 2019 Midlands Business Journal “40 Under 40” Award winner, McGinn’s career has spanned several senior-level fundraising, outreach and advocacy roles. He has served as a board member with Phoenix Academy and College Possible in Omaha.

As he leads Tabitha’s fundraising efforts, McGinn will cultivate and nurture relationships with community donors and direct fundraising efforts to support seniors in the Nebraska counties that Tabitha serves.

“I’m honored to put my experience to work with such a well-respected community resource,” said McGinn. “We have great opportunities to shape the future of care for older adults in Nebraska. Together, we will continue Tabitha’s strong legacy as Nebraska’s answer for senior care to ensure those who came before us get the quality care they need and deserve.”

“We are thrilled to have Jeff join the Tabitha team with his community building talents,” said Brian P. Shanks, Tabitha President & CEO. “He brings a multitude of skills, along with a vast knowledge of philanthropy and a fresh perspective that is a great fit for Tabitha. There is no better time to have Jeff take charge in opening new avenues and strengthening much-needed support for seniors through Tabitha and building upon our purpose: empowering people to live joyfully, age gratefully.”

Shanks added, “The senior healthcare arena is challenging; we face a shrinking pool of healthcare professionals and unpredictable governmental support that leaves Tabitha with a major financial gap, as the amount reimbursed does not begin to cover the full cost of care. We need the community’s engagement.”
